Lois Ellen Fowler real name née Moffatt born January 18, 1955. Fowler was born to James and Gladys Moffatt and spent her early years in Carroll, Manitoba. In 1968, her family relocated to Brandon.

Fowler achieved four Manitoba provincial championships, securing titles in 1993, 1996, 1998, and 2004. In 1993, she served as the third on the Maureen Bonar rink. During the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts, the national women’s curling championship representing Canada, her team from Manitoba, competing on their home turf in Brandon, concluded the round-robin phase in second place with an 8-3 record. They triumphed in the semi-finals against Ontario but fell short in the final against Sandra Peterson’s (Schmirler) rink from Saskatchewan.
In 1996, Fowler played the lead stones for the Bonar rink. The team finished the round-robin of the 1996 Scott Tournament of Hearts with a 6-5 record, part of a six-way tie for fourth place. They secured victory in their first tiebreaker against Nova Scotia but were eliminated in the second tiebreaker, facing fellow Manitobans led by Connie Laliberte, who was representing Team Canada.
Fowler took on the role of skip for her own rink at the 1998 Scott Tournament of Hearts, leading her team comprising Betty Couling, Sharon Fowler, and Jocelyn Beever to a 4-7 record, narrowly missing the playoffs. In 2004, she once again skipped the Manitoba team at the Scott Tournament of Hearts. Her squad, consisting of Gerri Cooke, Maureen Bonar, and Lana Hunter, posted a 7-4 round-robin record, tying for fourth place with Sherry Anderson’s rink from Saskatchewan. They secured victory against Saskatchewan in the tiebreaker but fell to Quebec’s Marie-France Larouche rink in the 3 vs. 4-page playoff game.
In mixed curling, Fowler clinched a provincial mixed title in 1998 while throwing third stones for a team led by her son, Rob. The team achieved a 6-5 record at the 1998 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship but fell short in a tiebreaker.

Before embarking on Lois Ellen Fowler real estate career with Century 21 in 1983, Fowler worked as a waitress and banquet staff. She tied the knot with Brian Fowler in 1972. Brian represented Manitoba at the 1987 Labatt Brier. Their children, Rob and Rhonda, also pursued careers in curling. In 2017, Lois Ellen Fowler death on September 28, 2023, was a Canadian curler hailing from Brandon, Manitoba. Fowler received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, and she ultimately succumbed to the disease in 2023.
