Vladimir Putin, the current President of Russia, maintains the position he acquired in 2012. He was appointed as the Prime Minister from 1999 to 2000 and retained the term again from 2008 to 2012. He was born on 7 October 1952. After Alexander Lukashenko, Vladimir Putin holds the second-longest current serving record as a European President. Born in St. Petersburg, Vladimir Putin graduated from Leningrad State University in 1975. He offered 16 years of service as a KGB foreign intelligence officer.
Vladimir Putin was appointed as the acting President after the resignation of Yeltsin, and in less than 4 months was elected as the President to his first term and was reelected in 2004. Due to the constitutional limitation for two consecutive terms as president, Putin served from 2008 to 2012 as the Prime Minister and returned to the presidency in 2012 in an election that was marred by allegations of protests and fraud.
He was again elected in 2018, and on 21 April following the referendum, he signed up the constitutional law amendments including the one which allowed him to run for reelection and potentially extend his presidency to 2036.

Putin’s Early Career:
Vladimir Putin joined KGB in 1975 and completed training in the 401st KGB school in Leningrad. After getting trained, he started to work in Second Chief Directorate before getting transferred to the First Chief Directorate, where he used to monitor consular and foreign officials in Leningrad. Vladimir Putin was moved to Moscow in September 1984 to get further training in the Institute of Yuri Andropov Red Banner. He used to serve in Dresden, East Germany, using a translator cover identity from 1985 to 1990. This period of his service stands to be mostly unclear.
As per the official biography of Putin, on 9th November 1989, as the fall of the Berlin Wall began he protected the Soviet Cultural Center files and also that of the KGB villa in Dresden for the official personnel of would-be united Germany to avert the demonstrators that included KGB and Stasi agents as well to obtain and destroy them. As per the claim held by Putin, he gave resignation with Lieutenant Colonel rank on 20th August 1991, followed by the coup against Mikhail Gorbachev, and stated to have preferred to work as a private taxi driver to earn extra money rather than considering such a job.
He became the head of the External Relations Committee of the Mayor’s Office on 28th June 1991 and continued to serve till 1996. He also held many other governments as well as political positions in St. Petersburg from 1994 to 1996.
Vladimir Putin resigned from his city administration positions in June 1996 and shifted to Moscow where he was appointed as deputy chief of the department of Presidential Property Management which was headed by Pavel Borodin, which he served till March 1997.
Putin was appointed as the deputy chief of Presidential Staff by President Boris Yeltsin on 26th March 1997 which he retained till May 1998. He was appointed as the head of the commission to prepare the agreements on the delimitation of the region’s powers following which the commission did not complete any of such 46 agreements signed during Shakhray’s term.
Vladimir Putin after being appointed as the President canceled all those 46 agreements. He was appointed as the director of the Federal Security Service which was the primary intelligence and security agency of the Federation of Russia and the successor to KGB on 25th July 1998.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is often praised by the spectators for his fluency in English. The 69-year-old Putin does speak German as well in addition to English and Russian. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesperson mentioned that Putin’s English is even good enough to rectify his own interprets.
Vladimir Putin: Lyudmila Ocheretnaya
Born in Kaliningrad, on January 6, 1958, the daughter of Alexander Lyudmila Ocheretnaya was educated as a linguist in 1986 and completed graduation from the Spanish language and Philology branch of the Philology Department of Leningrad State University. She worked as a flight attendant for the Kaliningrad branch of Aeroflot in her early years. Putin and Lyudmila got married on 28 July 1983 and they have two daughters, Mariya born on 28 April 1985, and Yekaterina born on 31 August 1986.
The German language was taught by Putina at the Philology Department of Leningrad State University from the period of 1990 to 1994. She played a major role to create and support the foundation named Centre for the Development of Interpersonal Communications which generates millions of dollars. After her husband’s rise t political power she used to maintain a low profile on the political side and avoided the limelight except the necessary as per the protocols.
She parted ways with Putin on 6 June 2013 mutually. The couple after a marriage period of over 30 years announced their divorce publically on the Russian media while attending the ballet performance and brought an end to their relationship. Their divorce was confirmed in April 2014 and later in January 2016, Putina was reported to have married Artur Ocheretny.

Alina Kabaev, 38 years old, born on 12 May 1983 in Tashkent, the Soviet Union currently residing in Moscow, Russia is a Russian Politician and a very prominent rhythmic gymnast. She represented Russia in a number of World Championships and won a total of around 57 medals in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She was alleged doping and was not allowed to participate from August 2001-to 2002. She retired from the sport in 2004 but made comeback before finally retiring in 2007.
She was one of the torch holders in the Winter Olympics which became a major controversy as a part of being the speculated Mistress of Russian President Putin. She was a Member of the Russian Parliament and also the chairperson of the National Media Group. She also tried her hands at modeling and had a flop singing career.
