One Motlhabakgomo, who also went by the name One P Kinty, was a 19-year-old girl from Molepolole, Botswana, who disappeared on the night of October 15, 2023. She left her home around 8 pm, dressed in a black dress, a red leather jacket, and black boots. She had long black hair, brown eyes, and a rose tattoo on her left shoulder. She drove away in a silver 2018 Honda Civic with the license plate number B 123 ABC.
Her mother, Boago Motlhabakgomo, reported her missing the next day when she failed to answer her calls or texts. She said they were supposed to go to church together, but she never returned home. She said her daughter was a loving and outgoing person who worked as a cashier at a local supermarket. She said they had a happy family and she did not suspect anyone of harming her.
The Molepolole Police Station Missing Persons Unit launched an investigation and appealed to the public for any information about One Motlhabakgomo’s whereabouts or the circumstances of her disappearance.

Sadly, One Motlhabakgomo was found dead on November 19, 2023, in a shallow grave in Gatlhoka lands, near Molepolole. She was covered with litter and branches, and some of her body parts were stuffed in two bags. The only clue that confirmed her identity was the clothes she was wearing. The police arrested a 25-year-old man, Phenyo Molefe, who admitted to killing her and dumping her body.
He said he befriended her on Facebook and tricked her into coming to his place, where he raped and strangled her. He said he was high on drugs and alcohol and did not know what he was doing. He faced charges of murder, rape, and kidnapping.

She was remembered as a beautiful and cheerful person who had a bright future ahead of her. She was buried on November 23, 2023, at the Molepolole Cemetery. Her funeral was attended by hundreds of people, including the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Tumiso Rakgare, who denounced the brutal killing and demanded justice. He also warned the youth to be careful of the dangers of social media and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
