Who was Luke Howe?

Luke Howe, a remarkable 14-year-old boy with learning disabilities, was a cherished son, brother, and nephew. Described by his family as “the biggest character” and an “incredible young man,” Luke’s infectious smile and joyful nature made him truly one of a kind.

Attending Brentwood Community College, a specialized education school in Sale, Luke’s uniqueness stemmed from his learning disabilities. Despite the challenges, he embraced life with enthusiasm.

Tragically, Luke Howe went missing in Hale, Greater Manchester, on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Last seen on Bankhall Lane in Hale that evening, his family launched an extensive search. Regrettably, his body was discovered in the River Bollin later that night.

Luke Howe was reported missing after engaging in a swimming activity with friends in the River Bollin and subsequently disappearing beneath the water. A search operation led to the discovery of his body later that night in the river.
