On August 18, 2023, a tragic incident occurred involving Kaley Paladino and her two-year-old son, Guy Wesley. They sustained severe injuries when they were struck by a teenage driver who crashed into Kacey’s Seafood and More, a restaurant located in Sarasota, Florida.
Despite medical efforts, young Guy Wesley succumbed to his injuries, while Kaley Paladino underwent hospitalization due to multiple fractures and internal bleeding. The teenage driver emerged unscathed from the collision and faced charges of reckless driving and vehicular homicide.
The Paladino family holds prominence in the Buffalo area, notably due to Kaley Paladino’s connection as the wife of Carl Paladino, a former Republican gubernatorial candidate and real estate developer.
Notably, Carl Paladino has an additional daughter named Sarah from an extramarital relationship, a fact he disclosed to his wife shortly after the tragic loss of their son. In the wake of this heartrending event, the Paladino family has experienced a wave of support from both acquaintances and well-wishers. This support has materialized through a GoFundMe campaign that aims to alleviate the financial burden of medical and funeral expenses for both Kaley and Guy Wesley.
A GoFundMe initiative has been initiated by David Krug on behalf of Patrick Paladino, conveying the following message:
“The Paladino family has been struck by an overwhelming tragedy, with a horrific accident leading to the loss of their youngest beloved 2-year-old son, Guy Wesley, and causing severe injuries to his devoted mother, Kaley. Kaley Paladino is presently undergoing treatment in the hospital for a multitude of injuries, while the family confronts the challenges of physical and emotional recovery.
The funds collected through this endeavor will be directed toward Kaley Paladino medical care and memorial expenses for Guy Wesley. Guy Wesley, known for his serene and amiable demeanor, forever adorned with a radiant smile, had an affinity for enduring hugs. Kaley Paladino, recognized for her benevolent and family-centric nature, embarks on this arduous journey alongside her loved ones.
The path ahead may be arduous, but with the unwavering support of friends, family, and faith, they will endure.”
As of now, the fundraiser has garnered $28,240 out of the $100,000 goal through 323 donations.
